With our friends of Bikeitalia from April 28 to May 1, 2018 we organized a cycling meeting in Salento through the olive trees and beaches, dry stone walls and savoring the of our land. “A Locanda Tù Marchese” have started the transformation into a receptive structure suitable and specialized in welcoming cyclists, we are waiting for you to toast for this new adventure. RALLY PROGRAM
28 April
- Arrival in Matino with free transfer from Lecce or Brindisi
- Welcome drink and presentation of the Locanda and new services for cyclists, accommodation in rooms (double, triple and family rooms)
- Short bike ride through the Mediterranean landscape and visit the Matino hypogeum mills
- Dinner
29 April
- Breakfast in Corte and departure for the bike tour (Matino, Baia Verde, Gallipoli, Alezio, Matino)
- Snack on the beach at Baia Verde
- Visit to the historical center of Gallipoli
- Lunch at the Porto Antico restaurant on the walls of Gallipoli
- Stop in Alezio, with a visit to the Museo Civico Messapico and tasting at the Vinolea
- Return to Matino at 4 pm and break
- culinary workshop: the Salento orecchiette
- Dinner
30 April/1 May
- Breakfast and departure for the second bike tour (Matino, Collepasso, Neviano, Sannicola, Tuglie, Parabita, Matino)
- Break stop in Collepasso at the “Pippi u ‘casaru”
- Stop at Tuglie for a visit to the Radio Museum, the Museum of Peasant Civilization, and lunch at the Bernardi farmhouse
- Visit and tasting at the Bottega dei Notari
- Visit to the Venus Caves in Parabita
- Return to Matino at 4 pm and break
- Music workshop: the “pizzica” of Salento
- Dinner
- Party and music: the rhythm of pizzica!
- Morning of May 1st: breakfast, greetings and return. Possibility to book a free transfer for those who have to leave from Brindisi or Lecce.
