3 days cycling in Salento: bike routes and workshops
Low traffic through olive three, “masserie” and sea, you and your bike in Salento, south Apulia. Explore the hinterland and the ionian coast , old farms and hypogeum, and in A Locanda Tu Marchese you will taste local product, have dance and cooking workshop. We are here with you and we show you a lot of bike routes and walks rich of history and natural beauty.

BIKE ROUTE: If you want to challenge yourself or keep in touch with nature , we have road and mountain bike routes, for you and your family, or your friends or your group. Theme routes, in the hinterland and along the ionic coast and along the adriatic coast too.
WHEN: Here in south Apulia you could ride from February to november, becouse the winter is mild. Is better to do not cycling in August, very hot month.
HOW ARRIVE: Car: A14 highway,then take the exit Bari Nord and continue the freeway Brindisi-Lecce. For our Locanda you just go to Gallipoli and then for Matino. Your car will be parked in S.Giorgio square, near our Locanda. Train: FrecciaBianca and Intercity notte arrive in Lecce. To arrive in our Locanda in Matino, you should take a shuttle bus o another SudEst Railways train. Plane:You arrive at Brindisi Airport and then take a shuttle to Lecce (about 50km).
We could manage for you all transports to arrive in our Locanda.
ACCOMODATION AND LUNCH/DINNER: “A Locanda Tù Marchese” is b&b and tipical family restaurant in the historical centre in Matino. Our room are double, triple and famiy and have air condition, bathroom, tv, fridge, towel set, and wifi. We have bike room and laundry.
“Pensione Free Zone” in Matino, is 1km far from historical centre. There is a huge parking in front of the structure and each room have air condition, bathroom, tv, fridge, and towel set.
